| Description: |
Pro BlendŽ/Contone is a dry flowing insoluble powder composed of a combination of graphite, processed hydrocarbons and selected platy aluminum silicate minerals ground to a very fine consistency to form a tight suspension in water base drilling fluids, oil base drilling fluids and invert emulsion muds. A recent improvement to Pro BlendŽ / Contone was the addition of alumina and potassium silicates. The silicates enhance the coating tendency of the graphite when being deposited on the wellbore. Independent lab test have shown Pro Blend to out perform compatible products by as much as a 4-1 ratio. Pro Blend is an excellent product for sloughing shale, shale inhibition and control, torque and drag reduction, seepage control, sealing micro fractured shale, and reducing HPHT in water base and oil base mud systems. The lubricating benefits from Pro BlendŽ / Contone are less affected by elevated temperatures than asphaltic/gilsonite type products. Gilsonte performs at best at 20 degrees C and is the worst at 80 degrees C (particles get sticky between the bit and wellbore.)
Pro BlendŽ / Contone has a gray/black powder appearance with a particle size distribution range of 2-75 microns, a specific gravity of 2.5-2.7 and a temperature tolerance of 500° F+. Pro BlendŽ is compatible with any and all water base, OBM and SOBM systems. |

| Application: |
Pro BlendŽ has proven to have a wide range of application. For HPHT control add 1-2 ppb to the active system (Field test has shown a drop in as much as 99% reduction in HPHT). For Shale Control 4-8 ppb has proven to be highly effective. For ROP enhancement and excess torque and drag 6-8 ppb has proven in field applications to reduce torque by as much as 75%. For seepage control add 2-8 ppb (this depends on severity of your problems). |

Pro BlendŽ can be added directly to the active system or the slugging tank in the form of a pill through the rig hopper. |

| Requirements: |
Wetting agent should be used, as with any dry chemical, when added to OBM or SOBM. |

Pro BlendŽ/Contone is packaged in a 50 pound multi walled paper sacks with 50 sacks per pallet.--(NOTE: Offshore containers are available upon request to protect product from damage)
